Oxford Fashion Week is a newly developed, growing event, established in 2009 with just 1000 attendees, 2010 saw 1500+ guests and this year it is hoped that over 2000 visitors will attend the event. Oxford Fashion Week states that they are more than just a week of fashion, ‘The purpose of Oxford Fashion Week extends beyond the week itself. We are here to connect and strengthen a community of creatives, designers, artists, musicians, models, thinkers, choreographers, retailers, writers, photographers and anyone who has an interest in, or is curious about, fashion. We want Oxford Fashion Week to inspire anyone who is considering pursuing a creative life. By bringing the community together we hope to provide that spark which causes brilliant ideas to turn into reality.’ The week consisted of several different style shows, exhibitions, press conferences, nights out and launches.
